this is peanut. he’s a sweet and happy little guy that was rescued from a life on the streets living with a homeless guy. so now he has this great mom who adores him and he is a wonderful sidekick.

here he is at ft. lowell park, happy as you please, completely unaware that there is a egret behind him.

some of my best friends are dogs. their owners are some of my best friends, too. but, take tess, for instance….

her dog parents are great friends of mine. they moved to portland a couple years ago and i went to visit them last fall. them and and their dogs. tess and i were great beach buddies. here we are at cannon beach in oregon. so beautiful. she loves running in the waves!

meet nike, everyone!

she was one of the many dogs who came to a fundraiser i had for cody bear in november to raise funds for his surgery. basically i invited friends and family to come take advantage of a ridiculously cheap price of dog photography for the day. i shot dogs from 8 am to 4 pm and my legs were so tired from squatting at the end of the day.

but, we got some beautiful shots of some great dogs whose generous owners came to help the bear. we raised over $500 towards the bear’s surgery!

cody bear in ’11

the bear is back! cody bear, that is. as is the daily photo blog.

we were gone a while. what you see here is the eye of a bear. he had a tumor removed from his eye, which is one reason we’ve been gone so long. cody bear is my muse, and when he isn’t tip top, neither am i. but we’re back and excited about 2011!
