a very sore paw…

meet lila, a doberman here in tucson recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her toe. she had her surgical biopsy a couple weeks ago, received her diagnosis, and is heading in for surgery to have the cancer removed tomorrow.
when i arrived at her house today her dad had to rerap her paw because her bandage had come off. once he finished the tape job, lila’s mom gently covered it with a fresh sock. she then hopped outside.
they moved her doggie bed into the sun and she was definitely into having the sun on her face. i stopped snapping shots to scratch her chin and she plopped her sore paw onto my hand. and yes, she is being a bit of a drama queen. dogs are VERY good at milking sore paws for attention.
i will update you guys in a few days on how her surgery went.
