daily photo – clicker training

i got started doing dog photography just because of my cody bear, and, because i was spending so much time teaching pet therapy class, training, hanging out with trainers, etc.  i was attending lectures on canine communication and would start capturing expressions on their faces my friends could use in their lectures.  then i just got hooked and couldn’t stop taking pictures of dogs!

all the trainers i am friends with, or that i work with use positive reinforcement.  no choke chains, no shock collars, no prong collars, etc.  and most of them use the clicker.  cody bear and pickles LOVE the clicker.  it has been so easy to train tricks and to help them get over some fears because of this tiny little tool.

i think i’ve come farther with cody bear and the clicker than i ever could have if i was yelling at him or snapping a chain.  if you need info on clicker training and want to find someone who can help you, try visiting: http://clickertraining.com/

Looking forward to more dog pics & postings.

    Thanks.

  2. My wife is all about the clicker and the positive reinforcement; it’s a shame so many people go the other route.
